OG Omyth - Certificate of Perseverance
OG Omyth releases 7 track "Certificate of Perserverance"
The collection begins with "Manifestor" ft. K Most & Bigga Hook
The ever changing cinematic backbeat never fails to intrigue, and acts as a perfect base for the powerful, fast paced lyrics to take centre stage and keep you grooving along with the never ending strength and meaning. The fact that such a wide variety of other artists have been featured in this track, and the others, showcases OG Omyth's willingness to experiment with his musical styles.
The 2nd track is titled "Nobody Wins" ft. Army Blaque
Bringing a modern twist to hiphop, this unique track is destined to bring hiphop to the forefront of the charts once again! The complex, elemental instrumentation ensures the listener is involved and engaged constantly throughout. The electronic touch to the vocals brings that aforementioned modern twist!
Next is "God Isn't Finished" ft. Shawn Kaine
The production of most releases nowadays is somewhat respectable, but to get a track where every element has been worked on tremendously, and where they each work together harmoniously to create the final piece is rare. It doesn't dynamically change much, yet it's incredibly immersing from the get-go.
"West V Open" ft. Johnny Alkada
Although this track is one of the shortest on this record, it doesn't fail to intrigue and fulfil at all! It's truly action packed from the moment the nostalgic hiphop beat is introduced. Towards the end of the song, it comes to a fade with a short instrumental section, leading into the next track:
"NY Times" ft. K Most & Skunk
Each word, each verse, and each section fits together seamlessly, it flows like a wave, with no breaks or stops, the rhythmic lyrics never end, ensuring the listener is head bopping along, the switch between artists is smooth, and clinical.
The 2nd to last track is "Move in Silence" ft. Army Blaque
A more laid back, chilled vibe is emitted by "Move in Silence", which is fitting for a track that begins the lead towards the end of the Album. The melodic vocals and bouncy percussion ensures it bursts with originality, uniqueness and showcases OG Omyth's creativity with the music.
The finale is "Get a Mention" ft. Ricky Bats & K Most
The pictorial piano based beat includes sound effects, such gunshots and sirens, adding further to the aforementioned cinematic feel of the track. It truly fills each one of the listeners 5 senses with the one of a kind instrumentation entering the world of trap and hiphop. It slowly comes to a close, leaving the listener wanting to hear more from OG Omyth and the featured artists.
