Today, we're featuring 10 songs by the up and coming Canadian artist, "Blow Flyy"

Blow Flyy remains a story teller, and he always keeps his rap/hiphop inspired music clean and respectful, especially towards women, and his music stays away from the typical rap/hiphop about drugs and street life, or having alot of money through drug dealing. This is truly aweinspiring, and really shows Blow Flyy's true personality!

He also prefers to tell stories in Rap, whether it be a 2 minute story, or a 5 minute story, it's not just the typical rhyme after rhyme, verse after verse rap.

The first 5 songs that we will be reviewing are from Blow Flyy's 3rd Studio album, titled "Blood N Honey"

1, Nightmares

Right from the get go, your expectations of the track are immediately a tranquil, soft, track, thanks to the slow paced piano based introduction, however, the song unfolds dramatically with the fast paced lyrics taking the spotlight. This continues until a lull in the upbeat intensity, leading on the next track..

2, ITS MY LIFE

The ever evolving soundscape of this track keeps the listener intrigued and involved throughout, with the unique sounds and elements constantly being introduced to the backing beat. It's only 2 and a half minutes long, yet it could easily go on for longer... the easy listening, headbopping nature is vibe changing in itself, you'll go from lazy to in the mood to go to the gym!

3, Have Mercy

The fast paced mood this song emits is so powerful, and never gives any moments of downtime, ensuring the bond between fan and artist never stops growing. The instrumentation is fronted by a strong groove that builds and drops throughout, leaving you on the edge of your seat, tapping your feet, and waiting for the next beat.

4, WHERE DO WE GO

Rap vocals and hiphop vibes fulfill the majority of this track, yet the track also upholds a melodic, uplifting style. "where do we go from here". It has a groove so strong, it forces you to cement yourself in the infectious soundscape.

5, Instagram Candy

This track is one that truly packs a massive punch, whilst at the same time maintaining a calm mellowness throughout. Smooth, off the tongue lyrics express layered vocals and implores you to move alongside the echoful effects and never ending strength.

Next up are 3 tracks from the artists second album, titled "Born to Dream"

6, PAPARAZZI

This track doesn't change too much dynamically, yet the way it flows straight from the introduction couldn't be any better. It bursts with a sense of uniqueness and originality with the camera shutter sound effects, adding a cinematic range to the song.

7. FOR THE LOVE.....

The production of a track plays an integral role in creating the final masterpiece, making the flow of songs feel good on a whole other level. Most modern music nowadays has respectable level of production, but to get a track that highlights each element in such an aesthetically pleasing style is a real treat. "it's all for the love of music"

8, TO THE STARZ, ft. Jason 'Soul' Howe

The pictorial backbeat is not overly complex, yet it is truly engaging and intriguing, as is all of Blow_flyy's music. It never fails to give way to some beautiful piano sections, layered over the top to cleverly chop up the rap sections and harmonic backing vocals.


The final two tracks are from Blow_flyy's first studio album, called, "It's like I Got a Set of Wings" which was released digitally by Australian distribution company Blue Pie Publishing back in 2010.

9, MY WINGS WILL TAKE ME

Nostalgic hiphop, with a modern twist, just amazing!
It sells a sense of grandeur with stylized electronic instrumentation and rhythmic percussion flourishing effortlessly. It's refreshing to hear creative music like this in a world drowned out with modern pop and tiktok songs.

10. MISSING AN ANGEL 

In similar fashion to Instagram Candy, it has an intricate, experimental feel, that's somewhat soft, whilst maintaining a lot of life and power within the meaningful track alone. Each element used is prominent and further showcases Blow_flyy's aforementioned creativity.

Barcelona based band  "Morningblind" release an 11 track album -  "The Weight of the World" The opening track is the focus track, "The Weight of the World" The majority of tracks that are 5 minutes long, lose their interesting elements eventually, but in this track, that couldn't be any further from the truth! It constantly evolves and changes throughout, with new styles being implemented all the time, ensuring the listener is always intrigued and being immersed in the unique experience. The cinematic, arabic feel that radiates throughout is truly one of a kind. The 2nd track is "Sunflowering" Beginning with the introduction of soft guitar and a tranquil soundscape, this chilled, emotional track draws you in right from the get-go. It takes influences from such a wide variety of genres, it's almost like Morningblind have created their own new genre!
