Shameless G - Grandma's Basement

Los Angeles based artist "Shameless G" has released a new EP titled "Grandma's Basement"

The 5 track mix begins with "Too Long"

Beginning with experimental sounds and powerful narrative vocals, it creates a haunting ambient atmosphere.. The backing beat radiates through each ear, letting the off-the-tongue lyrics take the spotlight. It's a perfect, unique, modern soundscape.

The next track is short yet effective. "Soul Snatcher"

A completely different feel from the previous track, the song is arguably a little more "simplistic", however this is great as it manages to show "Shameless G's" raw talent and gives us an insight into what he'll be like live. The vocals are incredibly fast and rhythmic, leaving you bopping your head and tapping your feet, grooving along when it ends dramatically, making way for the next song on this original EP

"Do It Better" features "Baby Wok". The narrative is about a sex life with someone, and it could easily find itself on the top of the charts in Clubs and Raves across the world. The introduction of female vocals towards the end really add a whole new sense of depth and structure to the track and EP as a whole.

It leads into the next song "Petty"

The track begins with a building up vibe that carries on throughout, the vocals are deep and loud, and mixed perfectly with the music, kudos to the producer for this for sure! They really take center stage, especially in the humourus but also relatable chorus. Featuring 1 million listener artist "Yak Gotti", his sections really uphold the sense of structure just like in the aforementioned track "Do It Better"

The final track is "Grandmas Basement"

Definitely one of the most musically dynamic tracks on the EP, and also one of the most action packed tracks, this is definitely the highlight. The deep drum beats and echoful vocals bounce through the listener ensuring they want to listen to more of Shameless G's releases. There's moments of tranquillity alongside fast, deep moments, that harmonise with featured artist Young Cutta.
