Johnathan Christian - Together, We're Alone (EP)

Post-Punk Duo JOHNATHAN/CHRISTIAN Release New EP: Together, We’re Alone

The 15 minute record begins with "My Dying Words"

Straight from the get go, it shows a track that roars through you. The powerful vocals, the  electric guitar that seems to gain momentum and the beats of the percussion all melt into one to create a sound of mightiness. It's a sound of anger, wickedness, and the stamina isn't lost once throughout.
It never gives any time of tranquillity it always pulls the listener in and intrigues them.

The 2nd track is "Together, We're Alone"

The introduction of female & male vocals in this track truly bring a whole new sense of depth to the soundscape, It fulfils every one of your 5 senses, at some points, creating such a cinematic, unique vibe, it feels like you have 6! It's a whole new different vibe to the previous track, piano upholds a classical vibe amongst the introduction of string instrumentation.

It's quite a long track at 5 minutes long, yet as the rest of the duos music is like, it never fails to intrigue!

It leads with a fade, into "My Beautiful, Broken Butterfly"

Beginning with a cresending organ introduction, the track gives off a haunting feel, full of originality and creativity. It's really mysterious, as it gives no hints as to what is to come for the first half of the track. Yet after this, it unfolds in a pictorial, refreshing sense, with the introduction of many different musical styles, showing the duos' willingness to experiment and make music, how they want it to be like, not how the modern music industry tells artist's how music should sound like.

The finale is "Never Trust a Man" (With Egg on His Face)

It definitely is my favourite track from the EP, with many different genres being implemented, it flows from section to section, with different element to the next. Truly fulfils the record, before fading into the distance, leaving you wanting to hear more of what they can create.

You'll be grooving along and tapping your feet for the entire 3 minute track, it brings you on a music adventure, and you get a listening experience, it isn't "just a song".

It's obvious how much time has been put into planning and structuring each and every one of these polished tracks, and the perfect execution makes it all worthwhile!
