Country White Bytches Talking Ain't Walkin - Comatose Red Ivy

From all the way in Cincinnati, Ohio, freestyler Comatose Red Ivy has released a Diss EP called ‘Country White Bitches: Talkin Ain't Walkin’. With 30k followers and a top track with 1.6m streams, it’s safe to say they know their way around the industry and are rising quickly.

Last Warning: This track features melodic and atmospheric piano arps in a minor key with a speech-like rhythmic freestyle layered on top. Later in the track, epic moving orchestral strings are mixed in to create a great cinematic audio experience.

CWB ON KNEES FOR ME - Smooth synth pads are joined by a traditional trap beat, comprised of kicks, rolling snares, and hi-hats. Echoed vocals are applied on top for a simple but effective musical journey.

TALK TALK TALK - A great sine-style sub bass powers through a polyphonic texture of hi-hats, kicks, and claps. Echoing chimes drop in and out of the track and short synth plucks slowly staircase up in certain segments, with similar vocal effects to previous tracks.

TOM BAUM (WHOLE P*SSY FREESTYLE) - This track has a great, yet tense intro, built with riser effects. This leads up to an array of cool piano chimes and staccato string stabs, reminding me of an epic escape or battle scene in a movie. As the instrumentation slowly fades out, the powerful vocals fill an intense silence, and they too fade out BYTCH BYTCH BYTCH In contrast to the previous track, we have high vocal samples looping over a refreshed trap beat featuring pads and a stabbing chord progression. This is probably my favourite track I’ve listened to tonight thanks to the catchy instrumental and use of anaphora and repetition lyrically.

PRINCE HILL P*SSIES (CWB FREESTYLE) Sustained and suppressed synth notes are joined by a sine bass and hi-hat roll beat. Lead vocals are hear as usual and the use of repetition in the phrase ‘time bomb’ is extremely experimental yet greatly effective throughout the track DR.COMADOSE DISS CWB The final track and one of my other favourites. This reminds me of something from a movie soundtrack again with the low filtered vocals and lengthy, airy whistle-like notes. There’s also a simple beat, again featuring mainly kicks with hi-hat rolls. This beat may seem repetitive however it really grips the track and moves it as we hear the anger in the vocals, which are delivered powerfully.

Barcelona based band  "Morningblind" release an 11 track album -  "The Weight of the World" The opening track is the focus track, "The Weight of the World" The majority of tracks that are 5 minutes long, lose their interesting elements eventually, but in this track, that couldn't be any further from the truth! It constantly evolves and changes throughout, with new styles being implemented all the time, ensuring the listener is always intrigued and being immersed in the unique experience. The cinematic, arabic feel that radiates throughout is truly one of a kind.
