C4C - Folk-Hop

Folk-Hop Vol.II

Jesse Aymon Dettwiler, most commonly known as C4C, is a multi-instrumentalist composer and music producer.

This is the second chapter of C4C's Folk-Hop Movement Debut LP.

This new "Folk-Hop" style has been described as "indie-folk culture finally catches the hip-hop bounce"

Us at IndieX couldn't disagree with that statement at all. C4C blends together sounds that work on so many levels. All the tracks move seamlessly as you're taken in by the immersive listening experience.

Somewhat minimalistic, the calming, tranquil tones introduced in the tracks sit atop a hum of a variety of different instrumentation. Having already released dozens of tracks, it's little surprise just how much soul is poured into this art, and the outcome is staggering in its beauty.

The impressive element of the music is how tender and immersive it is, whilst still portraying a real and undeniable sense of power. It all passes with wonderful flying colours.

Bluesy and melancholic at first, but the deep, upbeat feel is still prominent and lifts the tracks atmosphere to the heavens, especially in "Longtemps"

The empowering sense this gives the listener is truly unique to C4C's soundscape.

Crafted in ways to catch any listener off guard, the first few chords, that are elegantly plucked between melodies lead you to believe an acoustic ballad is to be performed, but upon the entrance of unexpected key changes and percussive beats, you know instantly there is more to these tracks that meets the eye.

The soulful atmosphere that flows through the spell-binding syncopation is so indulgent and inducing.

The album is being released on the 11th of June.
