Drifters in Vellichor - The Shadow

Cali band "Drifters in Vellichor" have released a new single titled "The Shadow"

This isn't clean indie, nor is it your stereotypical garage rock, nor is it well, anything in particular.

I love bands who you can't really find a tag for, I guess "Alt-Rock" works, but that'd be a disservice to them. It's MORE!

The track itself is ambient and great, the band clearly have the rock sensibilities and know how to make music that instantly grabs the attention and intrigues the listener. It also doesn't come across as "too polished" or too mechanical. It is dynamic, bass and guitar fighting and stepping back to allow heavy powerful vocals to take the centre stage.

It feels DIY, not because it is in any way lacking of anything, but because it feels genuine.

It makes me imagine what kind of live band these guys are, and I'm gonna guess that "Drifters in Vellichor" are a must-see band.

Be sure to take a listen to "The Shadow" here
