Martha Wash - Love & Conflict

Martha Wash has released an album titled "Love & Conflict"

Martha Elaine Wash is an American singer-songwriter, actress, and producer. Known for her distinctive and powerful voice, Wash first achieved fame as half of the Two Tons O' Fun, who sang backing vocals for the disco singer Sylvester including on his signature hit "You Make Me Feel"

This album begins with the track "Glamour Flows" which really sets the mood for the album with upbeat drum beats and brass instrumentals, and powerful isolated vocals. This really feels like something out of a NYC Musical.

The Next track is "Like Fire", this song carries on with the nostalgic brass feel, however it is a little more slow paced especially at the beginning
Eventually it leads into a powerful harmonic chorus that quickly positively changes your mood!

One track that really caught my attention is "Honey My Friend."

This song is tranquilly introduced with hawaii feeling electric guitar, that leads into the powerful meaningful lyrics. The instrumentation is similar throughout the song but this isn't a bad thing at all. It flows perfectly to the next track "Rise and Shine"

"Rise and Shine" which is the last song on this amazing 30 minute album. It has a distinctive modern feel. With reverbful vocals and unique backing sounds, this song really stands out from the crowd. It goes from a calming acoustic track to a rave party pop song instantly.

Overall, "Love & Conflict" is definitely a great showcase to new fans and old fans of what expressive music styles American Singer Martha Wash plays with.
