Review

From the very moment the track opens, with a unique, ethereal nature, the listener is immediately engaged, and immersed in this engaging musical experience, thanks to the complex instrumentation that radiates throughout the soundscape. Calming piano and synths seamlessly immerse you and force you to sway along to it's infectious sound.

As the 4 minute track progresses, the well thought out structure becomes apparent.. the track is split into multiple sections, all carrying a whole new vibe along with each other, with new elements being introduced each time round. It's like a rollercoaster of imagery and emotions within the run time.

It seems to take inspiration from a very wide variety of musical styles, and genres, from Classical, to synthwave, to rock. Put these together on paper, and it doesn't sound like they would work together, however, Somnium runs through perfectly, and the genres blend together smoothly, creating a unique mix of styles, unlike anything you will have ever heard before.

As it continues to evolve, twist, and ultimately unfold in ways you will definitely not have originally expected - The first class, clinical production of the track truly completes it, and makes the song feel "established", and refreshing to hear. Immersive elements bounce from left to right, top to bottom, and all work together to conjure up a well rounded masterpiece.
