Kids of Adelaide - I Still Wonder

"Kids of Adelaide" release their latest single, titled "I Still Wonder"

Read more about this aweinspiring band here on their official website, they've been working together since 2010!

From the moment the track opens, you'll immediately know you're in a for a unique ride, thanks to americana/folk inspired soundscape that overwhelms the listener with an arguably simplistic, yet engaging range of instrumentation, that includes complex fingerstyle guitar and radiating synths/electric guitar.

The song clearly doesn't only take influence from just a few genres, it takes it's ideas from an incredibly wide range of musical styles which showcases the band's ability to be open, diverse and creative.
The wordplay and narratives of this song are very atypical, they tell a mini, intriguing story, that can be open to personal interpretation from the listener, it'd be the perfect soundtrack for a movie!

It's nearly 5 minutes long, has a well thought out structure, and a soft, calming nature is emitted by the textured, harmonising vocals. What more could you want? 'I Still Wonder' transports you hundreds of years back to medieval Europe with the aforementioned folk inspirations, yet it transforms half way through and introduces hints to modern rock/indie pop music.

Towards the end of the track there's an incredible burst of energy, with amazing fast paced percussion and choir like backing vocals leaving you energised and ready to listen to more tracks from Kids of Adelaide, before it quickly softens down and fades into the void.

The band have a very large discography, be sure to check them out, these are genuinely one of my favourites, in the bands that I have discovered so far this year!
