Sean Grinsall - R is for Redemption

Chicago based songwriter, producer and performer, "Sean Grinsall" releases a brand new 5 track EP titled "R is for Redemption" (mastered by Anthony Gravino)

The opening track, titled "Rogue" introduces the EP with an uproar of unique, complex instrumentation. The one-of-a-kind track brings the listener on an adventure, it constantly unfolds, twists and evolves in ways not originally expected. In the beginning, you expect the 5 minute long track to be a powerful rock inspired track, and as it progresses, new styles are introduced, with bluesy organ instrumentation and even psychedelic music.

The 2nd track is titled "Rush", opening with an engaging, fast paced, bassline, the track immediately begins to immerse you. The track never gives any moments of downtime, ensuring the listener is constantly involved and bring themselves along for the ride! It may be one of the shorter tracks, at only 2m 51s, however it doesn't fail to fulfil!

The next track is titled "Rift". Taking a more bluesy approach to the instrumental, this complex, atmospheric track is an integral part of the EP, and truly does a perfect job at showcasing Sean's range of talents and his ability to work with many different styles. It does get somewhat repetitive at times, but it all adds to the suspense and cinematic nature of the song.

The 2nd to last instrumental is titled "Reflection", a truly pictorial piece of art, full of incredibly vivid imagery. It takes much skill to be able to create movie-like vibes/feels in music. The inspirations from world music and traditional add a wide range of depth to the mix, and is refreshing to hear in a world drowned out with tiktok songs and pop.

The finale is titled "Refraction". This song feels like something from a downtime blues bar at night, and sometimes feels like it could be from a rock band. You need to involve yourself in the experience, it forces you to groove along to the beat and engage within the psychedelic elements. The short acoustic guitar sections work to structure the track and give you a moment of tranquillity before entering the next musical realm..
