Slow Coda release debut album.

Los Angeles based Alternative rock duo "Slow Coda" release debut 11 track album.

The opening track is titled "World of Motion"

Each element in this lively track is truly unique in itself and all work together like a puzzle to ensure the catchiness and intriguingness of the track. The funky bassline and atmospheric instrumentation makes for a classic feeling song for sure. It evolves and twists throughout, ensuring you never lose interest at all.

The 2nd track is titled "Gap Year"

The smooth, airy vocal performance is truly the highlight of this track, with the 2011 arctic monkeys vibe. The duo seem to take inspiration from not only just rock, but also a wide variety of pop styles, such as dreampop.

"Gap Year" leads into "Spun", with a seamless transition.

The complex percussion portrays a well thought out structure, whilst still maintaining a sense of experimentalism and as-you-go creativity. Especially in the spacious introduction, it seems to takes inspiration from modern bands such as the Blossoms.

The next track is titled "Levittown"

Never giving any moments of downtime, this track ensures the listener is constantly grooving along with it's headbopping nature showcased with the bouncy drum beats. Even though it's only 2 and a half minutes long, it's still as integral part of the duos debut album.

5. "Mall Walker"

Introducing the 2nd half of the album, "Mall Walker" takes the spotlight and brings a more laid back sensation to the soundscape, with dreamy synths and tranquil, yet prominent electric guitar solos.
Towards the end of the track, the song comes to a hazy fade, before the next track enters.

6. "Walking Dream"

The classic live feel of this track, and cresending cinematic nature brings a burst of true originality to the album. It's the longest track on the record, at 4 minutes long, and towards the end it arguably feels a little repetitive, but this adds to the suspenseful wait until the next summer vibes song.

7. "Waterbed"

The angelic vocal performance is really something that isn't found commonly in the modern world of pop. It brings a twist to shoegaze, retro wave and other genres, showcasing their willingness to experiment with new musical styles, and also showcasing their aforementioned inspiring qualities of creativity and originality.

The next track is titled "Nuclear Saturday"

This colourful song truly hits the mark, it definitely wouldn't be out of place on rotation on radios all across the world. Hopefully it will bring this type of music the appreciation it really deserves, and bring it to the forefront of the charts.

9. "Melt Away"

The clinical production of this song truly feels first class, each element is heard and not understated. The rhythmic lyrics are simply off-the-tongue, and keep you involved whilst the song unfolds.

10. "Pink Noise"

On the road to the end of the album, Slow Coda bring us an indie vibe tune with funky sections and genius wordplay. It brings you on a love driven experience, rather than just a listen. It's a story, not just a song.

The finale is titled "Totally Gone"

The amount of time taken to prepare and structure this track is awe-inspiring, and truly shows the duos dedication and commitment when it comes to their music and ensuring it's the best it can be. This headbopper is going straight in my personal playlist for sure! The harmonic backing vocals add a whole new range of depth before the dramatic end.
