Louise Steel - Aura (Rezzonator Remix)

"Louise Steel's summer single 'Aura' has been remixed by Derby producer 'Rezzonator' (Duncan Rose), using electronic synthesizers and beats.

The original version can be found on her latest album 'Sideshow', which was released last October.

The song centres on themes of connection- the mysterious, unspoken force which brings people together. The undeniable attraction between two people; mind, body and soul."

Electronically decorated harmonies reappear proceeding the climax of the track, which sees a volcanic serge of power. The more delicate aspects of the music retreat to make way for animated ‘80s styled synths and an intricate electric rhythm section. Though the music becomes busier and more complex, the layers of its final destination doesn’t feel like it’s at any point excessive or acts as anything more than it needs to be. With the use of gated reverb on selected snare hits, the song nods its head to eighties pop tunes whilst simultaneously flashing a large influence of modern electronica music and Rezzonator's upbeat idea in the remix.

There isn’t a strict structure within the track, but the interchanging sections are differentiated by changes in its spacey tones and thickened textures that move the cosmic track perfectly in four-dimensional directions. The flow of the music manifests itself incredibly well, creeping up on itself to contribute another pillar of robust melody.

Rezzonator's remix of "Aura" is theatrical and shimmering in a glistening atmosphere, the version is bathed in an uplifting imagery of hope. EDM mixed with dream-pop, this variation serves itself on a silver platter.

Hearing the track in two very separate lights showcases how others are influenced by their roots and imagination. Creativity and experimenting at it’s finest, it will transport you into this mesmerising world.
