Today we will be reviewing "Amari Mar"'s new album "Grand Rising"

The first track on this upbeat hiphop album is "Grand Rising"

This begins with a nostalgic brass instrumental intro that leads into the uplifting, fast verses.
The lyrics of the aforementioned verses are not just meaningful and inspirational, they are also rhythmic and spoken with power.

"Grand Rising" is the perfect intro track, setting the scene for the rest of the album.

Next up is "Holy Sh!t"

The clear lyrics are incredibly meaningful and highlight some important problems in today's society.

Raising awareness with Music is a great idea, especially with hiphop, as hiphop is a genre that is proven to have great influences on culture.

One of the tracks that caught my attention the most is "Above the Rim" - beginning with an ambient real-life sound, this track is incredibly unique. 

The action packed backing beat is incredibly nostalgic, carrying the same vibe found throughout the album.

The song ends after a descending, fading outro that flows perfectly into the next track "Head Up High"

The backing beat slowly evolves in many different ways as the song goes on, with different styles of instrumentation introduced at different points. 
"Head up High" is another meaningful song, short yet full of strength.

"Beyond the Surface" begins with an ambient introduction to the beat style, which really showcases what the song is doing to be like throughout.

It holds up with a unique chord progression, but this is only one part of the track. The forever flowing smooth vocals really make this track special.

As the album is coming to an end "On The Right Path" (featuring Mega X) blesses the listeners ears.

Talking about modern problems of racism and prejudice, this can really relate to many people around the world (unfortunately)..
 Amari Mar said "This album was made during the time I was evolving and going through my spiritual journey to where I am at this point" 

We love the origins of the album, it is aweinspiring and eye opening.

The finale "Rise 'N Shine" is the most action packed track of the album, it includes many different styles of Indie Hiphop and traditional rap. At 4 minutes long it has alot of room to show the experimental styles of this song.

The introduction of other vocalists shows teamwork and creativity, something not found very often in modern music.
