Main Hero - Lonely Road

Today we'll be reviewing French Artist "Main Hero"'s new album "Lonely Road!"

It features 8 ambient songs and we'll give you our thoughts and how the songs flow through!

The First track "Lonely Road" is a great introduction track to the artistic project. Tranquil but prominent lyrics give you a soft, gentle taster. The soft rock backing accompanied by the quiet piano backing is something different and unique!

The next track "Switch Off (for now)" is a more upbeat happy track! The summer vibe backing instrumentation introduces you to the track. However this song takes an unexpected twist! This leads into a heavy intrumentated chorus. The lyrics have meaning and are sung with passion. Towards the end of the track it gets heavier and then dramatically ends with a soft drum beat that leads on perfectly to the next track which is "Somebody's Come"

This track is my overall favourite track (probably because I'm a rock lover) It features harmonic vocals, heavy complex drums and complex guitar riffs. It's the whole package in one track! From what I've seen so far, this album slowly cresends heavier.

"She Walks Down" has similar vibes to the third track, however it is a little more slow paced. My favourite section of this track is the long, heavy, complex guitar solo that carries on to the outro.

The next track "The Deal" has an immersing intro, featuring string instruments and a slow drum beat, which really pulls you in and brings suspense to the listener. The original sounds carry on through the song, until heavy guitar pulls you in and intrigues you even more! At some points it is a little overwhelming, but it also shows that this album caters to all people!

"Fireplace" begins with cresending drums and harmonic, stunning vocals, and meaningful, rhythmic lyrics. This has a country twang but is also quite commercial. The chord progression is common but has a certain calm acousitc ambience to it that cannot be described easily. This is one of the easy listening tracks.

"Both Sides" carries vibes of "The Deal", it feels intimate, intriguing and expressive. Featuring brass instruments but Main Hero's rock style voice, its a unique contrast between genres that feels haunting and fun!

The last track on the album "Perfect Day Tomorrow" is the most meaningful track, at least to me.

Starting with wind instrumentation and calming piano it is very tranquil and imposes a feeling of love into your heart. The narrative vocals could put you to sleep whilst waiting for more incredible music from Main Hero.

"To listen to Lonely Road is to surrender to the unknown, to immerse oneself in desert and lunar landscapes, in the middle of multi-coloured canyons, snow-covered peaks or abandoned roads... And to let yourself be guided by the intimacy of a voice that speaks to the heart"

I agree.
