John Vento - New Mexico Way

John Vento - New Mexico Way

The instrumental introduction of this track is very electrified and upbeat, the quick changing chord progressions have an uncanny resemblance to "Union City Blues", by Blondie, in 1979..

The vocals are introduced smoothly with a lyrically rhythmic verse. Sounding similar to an early Bruce Springsteen. These translate into an easy listening, fun and likeable track.

The lyrics place you firmly in the seat of a 1970's convertible heading towards the southern border of the United States.

This is a track of magic and rock'n'roll. I love the acoustic feeling towards the end of the song. This then leads into a cliff hanging ambient deep electric folk rock outro.

Definitely check out this art piece of country and rock mixed into a melting pot of passion, emotion and fun.
